It is a specially designed spiral grooved idler.
Groove is filled with a soft insert that minimizes contact with the substrate and improves traction.

The groove insert can be changed with the idler mounted without the need of special tools.

Much lower inertia than elastomer spreader rollers. Able to handle low gauge substrates

Easy to clean.

Very low static generator. Good performance in high temperature environments.
